Wed. Dec 3, we rode to Savusavu with the Walkers. They took us to a place "The Captain's Table" right on the ocean port where we could watch the huge cruize ship and all the yahts. The water was a little murky, but we could see little blue and black striped fish along with other little fish that went crazy when visitors threw food to them. We picked up our brand new Toyota Hilux truck. It looks just like the one we have been driving that just had 8000 miles on it. When we came, the elders had to give us their truck. We have been going out on quite a few visits with them so they wouldn't have to walk long distances. Elder Read was like a child with a new toy when Rex washed and cleaned it all up and gave it back to him. Last week was transfers, and Elder Rainsdon is now AP assistant to President Layton in Suva. He is really excited about his new calling. He will be missed here in Labasa.

One of the views on the way to Savusavu. It was sprinkling so the mountains do not appear as green as usual. |

These are some of the lacy fern-like palms. The rain gives them an mystical effect. |

When we got to Savusavu, the rain stopped. This is the view from the church house there. |
